I added a category block to my home page, it does not work

I added a "category menu" to my home page, and all I get is a header that says "Category" - I do not get any actual categories. I migrated from 2004.7, all my categories came across - I see them at the top (I am using the BVC5 theme), but nothing in the selector. What I am doing wrong?

Check the settings for the Category Menu module by clicking it's 'Edit' button when you're in the content admin. |

I reran the conversion and it worked. I may have had an older version of the BVC5 database.
