Guys,
I have no merchant account as in this momment it looks too expensive for my shop.

So I use the PayPal Express Checkout feature for may payments. However this seem to require the user to signup for a PayPal acccount.

(I can't use WebSite Payments Pro as is not available to us (I'm located in Australia).

I have about 3-4 transactions per day where I see people going onto the PayPal express checkout page and never return.

I just noticed another shop that is using the PayPal "Buy Now" button to charge for their payments.

The PayPal UI for this looks much better than the Express Checkout one and it does not require users to sign up for a PayPal account.

Did anyone tried to implement a BuyNow button for BVC5? Can I reuse the IPNHandler for this?

BV: Would it be possible to add this as a supported checkout system?

Thanks,

Corneliu.

Ever since dropping paypal on a majority of my clients sites, the problems related to paypal (same as your situation) have all disappeared and there have been no complaints about dropping paypal from any customers (including the repeat, threepeat, fourpeat, fivepeat.., ..., ..., ...customers).

Honestly, making your customer create a new account after just creating one (or not) is an extreme deterrant. There has to be an affordable gateway for you and I highly suggest you consider an alternative to PayPal.

Just my 2 cents!!!!!! nothing beyond it :)

Can anyone recommend an "affordable" gateway in Australia? One that has a plugin for BVC5 as well?
I looked at eWay.com.au but there is no ETA for a plugin in BVC5.

Thanks,
Corneliu.
