This site has been up for about a month and has been taking a decent amount of orders. Customizations include a workflow that gives the customer a message that their order will be shipped by freight if it has an item weighing over 70lbs. Customers will also be able to upload images and text or a word document so that each product can be personalized. http://www.fromphotostoforever.com

Looking at your checkout page https://www.fromphotosto...n.aspx?returnto=checkoutis this the standard OOTB BV5 checkout ? to me, the password "answer" is the password itself!!! thats vague and confusing in my opinion i would live without seeing the password answer. The password hint however, makes sense and could be helpful to job ones memory....as in "my dogs name"....but the "answer" to me thats the password itself.

I see now....I looked at https://www.lukablu.com/...n.aspx?ReturnTo=CheckoutThe password HINT and ANSWER is NOT a password hint and answer any way. Still confusing stuff. The hint and answer is NOT related to the dang password in any shape way or form (unless you make it, but thats kinda silly). The hint and and answer is separate from the password. The hint and answer should read "Secret Question" and "Secret Answer" and above those two forms it should say "For added security we recommend a secret question and answer, although its not required". To me, that removes all doubt about the understanding of the interface. To me, the checkout process and interface is one, if not the, most important part of the entire process. This should really be thought out extremely close.

I haven't figured out what gets done with the password hint and answer. If you forget your password, you're not presented with a hint. I'm not sure how those data fields are ever utilized (maybe just for phone verification?).
Speaking of passwords, you'll have to remember your username if you happen to forget your password. Then, if you happen to remember your username, you can have your password reset and a new meaningless one will be issued via email. And if your username happens to be something easy to remember, like "John," then you can expect someone else to reset your password for you... over and over. :)

Yeah, that's standard bvc5 for the new user signup. I think it should say "password recovery question" and "password recovery question answer"

We plan on making this a site term in SP2. That way you can call it whatever.
As always, if something doesn't work for your store, you're welcome to remove it. |

I've seen sites that offer password hints. A hint "honeymoon location" might help one remeber that the password was "Cancun". |
Optimists invent airplanes, Pessimists buy parachutes. |
