Its a cookies problem. Go to you Internet explorer Options. And clean all cookies. Refresh the page (with the shift key pressed) and, done.

If your talking about users being automatically logged into the site each time they visit the site (like we are in this forum), I believe it is a user setting.
Try going to Options - Users - Site Settings and uncheck the Remember Users and Remember User Passwords boxes.

I had the same problem. I deleted cookies, tried different browsers, used others' computers, etc. and still kept getting the problem, "Log Out()" in the menu. But none of the rest of our staff had the problem. My login was the only one affected, which was the 1st admin account that was set up upon initial BVC installation.
What eventually worked for me was changing all three cookie names. I can't make heads or tails out of it, I just know it worked for me and was satisfied at that point.
I also have the only user account that appears to be unable to stay logged in if I close my browser. Everyone elses "remember me/password" feature seems to work. It's a trivial issue though.
