I couldn't find this reported, but apologies if this is a duplicate. I've been able to reproduce this on 2 separate BVC5 stores.

Normally, when clicking the link of a product in the cart, you are taken back to the product page where the originally chosen options are selected and there is a Save Changes button on the page instead of an Add To Cart button.

If a product URL is manually re-written, however, the product options are not selected and the Save Changes button is not present when clicking the link.
