Sirs

I think there is a wrong conception of the product properties. If I define a properties, I really don't understand why this propeties should belong to a product types and not exist as a properties to define additional information for the product.
And also assigning a multi-choice properties to a product type, I cannot select more than one element from the list. This is quite limiting for an e-commerce app.

The product properties are assigned to a product type that is then assigned to a product. This way you can assign additional information to the product in the form of product types and we will display it on the product's page. This allows you to group multiple properties together and assign them all to a product at once, rather than having to assign product properties one by one to products.

This sounds good, but imagine my case, where for a properties I need to select more than one value. Actually it's not possible. And It's not possible assign a property more than one time to a type properties to simulate multiple user choice.

You should, I think, implement this allowing multiple choice in one of the two way. First one, probably, should be better (just a for next cycle during insert/update) operation.

Andrea,
Isn't this update the one that you need to make properties support multiple selections:
http://www.bvsoftware.co...lt.aspx?f=79&m=43477
I'm not sure how this works, but I think it's exactly what you need.

I downloaded the add-on, but this is not what I mean.

What I need is simple. A property from which you can select multiple value. So a type properties combo multiselect. The add-in, instead, provide optioning. So offer to user the possibility to choice from a set of product options that it's not what I need. The options are something that user can choose. I need instead a presentation layer like the type properties, where is the admin that choose what to display and user get the information like as been saved.

Hope to have been more clear.

I think the titles "Type Properties" and "Property Types" are a little confusing. However I can't think of a better way to describe them so I have been quite on this issue.

I'm not sure if I understand what you are looking for, but we have used the 2 "Property" options to create some pretty specific questions (Shared Choices) and some text options specific to a particular type of product.

Please go to this link to see if this is what your want to do.
http://www.laurastamm.net/Produ...-29---July-1__Cen07.aspx

The user input sections at the top are "Shared Choices".
Below those are some "Type Properties".
Most are drop down lists I have created where the Admin can select from several different options for display on the product page.

I next created some "Property Types" namely "8 hour clinic" (offered Mon-Thur) and "6 hour clinic" (offered Fri-Sun) and assigned the appropriate "Type Properties" to each one.

Then when I create the product (a clinic) I just choose the right "Product Type" then I can pick from several drop lists, the dates and times I want displayed on the product page.

I hope this has been helpful. If not, just ignore what I wrote above. All of the above is present in the manual but they do go through this section pretty fast.
