Are there any future plans to support split payment for an order?
(For instance partial payment on one credit card and the rest on another.)
Is there any easy way for this to be done?

You can add/adjust payment amounts via the admin however; an interface does not exist on the store side for partial payments. |

You could also rename one of the payment methods to “partial payment” or whatever and contact the customer to collect whatever amount you need.
The order status will automatically update to “partially paid”. |
