I migrated from from bv2004 to bv5. I am now setting up the payflow again. From the payflow config i now selected bv payflow gateway. I pointed it to the cert that was in use and working in the old bv. I then got an error of :
Could not load file or assembly 'Payflow_dotNET, Version=4.0.0.9, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=14aa1e8d77f2a97c' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
I searched for the issue and it seems i need to have Payflow_dotNET.dll . PayPal Payflow Gateway release notes tell me that for asp.net 2.0 i need to rename the file from payflow_dotNET_2.0.dll to payflow_dotNET.dll in their zip. I did this and placed the Payflow_dotNET.dll in my stores \bin folder.
I still have the same error. I do note my dll downloaded is 4.0.1.2 while the error reports seeking Version=4.0.0.9.
I also tried to do regsvr32 "...\Payflow_dotNET.dll" but it reports "...Paflow_dotNET.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of ....\Payflow_dotNET.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it.

It seems that Payflow_dotNET.dll is completely missing from the bin folder in my BVC5 installations. |
