While we have a "Product Rotator" and a "Category Rotator" -- I would like to see an "Product-in-Category" Rotator -- where you click a category and it automatically selects and displays all products in that category. This would be useful to display New products. |

Joe,
I'm not sure I understand. If you just add one category to a category rotator it becomes a static link to that category page which will display all the products. Are you asking for something different?

Thanks Marcus -- but I set up the Category Rotator with just one category, all I get is the icon for that category, it does not display the products in that category. If I were to add more than one category, it would rotate the category icons that are set, but not the products in those categories. |

Joe, I think I follow what you're saying.
One thing would be to add a product rotator with the products that are in that category and there's a simple solution, however I don't think that solves it completely.
You would like to add a "category product rotator", you select "Bird Seed", and it automatically rotates the products in that category, as well as add a "Bird Seed" heading to it, which can be a link to the category as well as include an icon graphic if desired?
I see that being a custom category content block and it would be great to see this OOTB or I'll tap the guys at Resposio to see what they think. |

Thanks Matt -- yes, but that would be simple enough to use the Product Rotator and simply select everything in a single category, and that is easy to do. But when you want "New Products" or some other *dynamic* category where the products change on a regular basis, then it becomes too much work. I am doing that now, much as I was using the Xigla Content Rotator on my previous site for the same thing.
I think having a "New Product Rotator" as a standard content block would be a very popular feature. |
