I have my products listed on pricegrabber and shopping that come. With the move to the new version of BVC my listing are no longer valid. I been trying to recreate those links but the cant seem to get it right for example this is how my product looks online. http://www.hollywoodcoll...raphed--Signed-Baseball-(PSADNA)__ABBS4620.aspx as oppose to how it looked before: http://www.hollywoodcollectibles.com/ProductInfo~productid~BR8X0160.html How can I replicate each product when creating a data feed if I am gathering my data directly from the database using Sql?

Doing it directly from the database would be quite a challenge as you basically need to re-invent the wheel as the bvc arhcitecture handles the building of the valid urls. There are several pieces to the re-writing engine as bvc allows you to specify a custom url on a product by product basis as well as modifying the auto generated url via the site settings configuration. We have developed a shopping feed writer for in house use that works with pricegrabber and shopping.com, however it is not in a ready for sale format. If there is enough of an interest in a product like this, we would consider modifying it to move it into a commercial ready state. |
