I'm seeing an increasing number of "pay by check or telephone" orders -- some of which I never receive payment for, never hear from the customer again, even though I send multiple emails (most have hotmail/yahoo email accounts).
I'm thinking about not allowing check/telephone orders, though I do have a couple of customers who do want to use this responsibly. I'm wondering if anyone else has come up with a way to pre-approve the use of "unpaid" checkout.
Alternately, is there a way to set it so that Unpaid orders do not take from inventory until they are paid? |

Joe, I've been getting orders like this, but the few I've tracked down said they filled in the credit card section, and added an internal PO number so they'd have a memo on their paperwork.
Of course, choosing the PO section keeps the CC info from being used because the CC button gets un-selected.
Next to "payments" on the checkout page, I added "Select only ONE payment method", and next to the PO part, I added "Requires pre-approval or an open (house) account" hoping that this will get shoppers to select only one payment method.
Almost makes sense to go to a multi-page checkout just to help people drive a linear path through the process.
I posted a Q like this about three weeks ago and got no response. I'll assume pre-qualifying shoppers to use PO, phone or check isn't very common. I need the PO section for my wholesale accounts, who will sign in as a 'price group' member. |

This is why selecting the payment method should show only the inputs required, instead of showing them all at once. At least in my opinion. I'm sure Anthem could be used to do this.
