I don't know if this qualifies as a bug or just an inconsistency, but for some of the category templates, the <h1> tag is on the .aspx page and in some it's in the .vb page.

It makes a big difference if you uncheck the "Show Title" on the category itself and then re-write the <h1> in the category description. I have a background image on the <h1> tags and that was showing up even when the "Show Title" was unchecked. So if anyone else is having this problem, move all the <h1> tags over to the .vb pages and the original <h1> is gone when the "Show Title" is unchecked. The grid template is done right ootb so you can use that .vb code.
