Hi all,
UK Banks are mandating transactions use 3D Secure (the one that pops up to make sure you are who you say you are whilst in the payment step). The BV Payment gateway in BV 5 Sp2 and before does not support 3D Secure. This will cause our payments to fail if not implemented.
We are on notice that our card types WILL fail unless 3D secure is used. (Visa, Barclays, Natwest probally all UK largest banks will not process unless the transaction is 3D Secure).
This should affect ALL UK payments over the coming months on ALL Payment Gateway providers not just Protx.
I'm not aware of any plans for BV to address this as my Trouble Ticket was closed.
Have fun
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
I'm in the same boat. I've got a ticket in at the moment. The corrispondence from Cybersource and PROTX is getting more and more final sounding that they're going to cut off none 3D secure transactions.
Did you get any further or has anyone else?

Protx did make the changes, we disabled the cards but 3D is manadatory in places. Apparently Protx integration has been changed in BV5SP3 I recall. We took the pain and the loss of sales rather than bug BV guys, whilst we evaluate other ecommerce packages that support 3d.
It may support it now but I'm not sure, I neve got a final response, I think there were simply too many bugs to fix in BV to worry about adding support.
