Large cart (many items) causing slow page loads

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the number of SQL calls required to evaluate volume pricing, discounts and customer specific pricing for each line item which doesn't happen when editing an order unless you request a recalculation.

Just to help out we have the same issue on products without volume prices, customer specific prices or discounts.

We have figured out the issue with this and we have a fix. Is there anyone that would be willing to let us test the release on their store? It would have to be an unmodified store so that we can just drop new dll's into their bin folder. |

We can do it on one customer store we've had issues with... |

Seems to be better, but still having latencies.
With fewer than 10 products, cart page times are between 5-10 seconds; going back to item pages are approx 5-10 seconds each.
Above 10 items, cart page times start at 20-30 seconds, and progress worse as each item is added. I was up to 13 items and up to 45 seconds for cart page and 20-30 seconds for a keep shopping page. Checkout page at this point was 45 seconds plus still at the 13 items mark. |

Would it be possible to get the address of the site that you installed the patch on? |

what's the status on this issue? It's been a week since it looks like a preliminary fix has been out to a couple of "testers" -- I'm still seeing an awful lot of "timeout" errors and customers leaving with large carts |

This issue and the line item id not getting passed from the cart both need fixes. We're losing sales from the line item id issue, I'm sure many others are as well.

No news on any issues which is real discouraging, not a good way to start 2008.
