My merchant provider wants a PCI complaince certificate, what is the process to get one?

I was reading up on scanalert's PCI compliance certificate, it is $149.
Any others? ideas?

Well I want to join with moneris and they want a PCI certificate.
Is scanalert a good company to get it through? Any details on what is involved from experience anyone?
