I honestly don't know if this is a SP3 or SP3.1 bug. We had Fedex shipping set with different methods (Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight, Ground, 2nd Day, etc.). Before SP3 it seemed to be working fine but after SP3, only Fedex Ground would show from the "View Rates" in the cart. So, we had the SP3.1 installed to see if that cleared things up.

Now it seems that the "View Rates" from the cart will only show the ground rates, but if you continue through the checkout, the rates for all methods will be there. If you go back to the cart page and click on "View Rates" all methods are there. We have also seen problems with certain zip codes... some work to show all the methods and some work to show only Fedex Ground. Anybody else seeing weirdness with the "View Rates" on the cart page?

If I recall correctly, FedEx will return more accurate information if as include more of the address. For example, with just the zip code, they will return very little (if any) information. If you add the city and state, they will return more information. If you add the street address (to city, state and zip), they will return all the information they have.

That is why they return more information on the checkout page (assumming the shipping addres has been filled in).

Yes -- you need a state in order to return FedEx Express rates -- in fact you don't even need the zip for Express, I don't think. If that could be added to the Rate configuration, that would help

that explains a lot. They have the shipping cost calculator for BV2004 and it works great. So are we able to configure this at all to add the state field?

From just reading the code (I did not try this), you should change this (near line 25 in EstimateShipping.aspx.vb),

State.Visible = Me.RegionIsRequired

To this,

State.Visible = True

We have the Fedex provider as not requiring state, but if the Fedex Express does require state, then we might have to change this. We will look more into it.

Andy... you're a genius! That worked like a charm. Thanks for looking into it for me.
