Hi Geniuses, Will the new patch change the code to a customized site. For expample- Naviagiton of the site, and the look of the site. That is the concern. Can any one comment on this. Glen Justlinen.com [email protected]

The patch will not change custom themes if they have been created in their own folders. For example, if you started from the "Print Book" theme and created a "Print Book Custom" folder then it will not be touched. However, if you just modified the "Print Book" theme in place it probably will be overwritten by the patch. Same goes for any control or file that originally shipped with BV Commerce.
The good news is that the patcher created backups of any files before it overwrites them so you can use a comparison utility like Beyond Compare, WinDiff, etc. to help you figure out what's changed between your custom files and the standard ones.
Categories, products and all other database information is NOT overwritten or modified. However, it is always a good idea to make a database backup before a patch or upgrade just to be safe.
