Is there something build into BV which allows an administrator to "import" customer data from another database into BV? For instance if switching from another ecommerce engine to BV how to I get all my user IDs and password info - in addition to address info and key data - into BV so that i don't have to essentially "start over."

You can use the BV Import / Export tool to do this. Just create a user in your BV store, then use the I/E tool to export a list of users. You then have a template to use with your existing list of customers, and after you migrate all of your customer info over to the template you can use the import tool to import customers into the database. We did this a few projects ago and it worked well.

The Import / Export tool is available for download in the Tools forum (http://forums.bvcommerce.com/default.aspx?f=84).
