[2]I'm interested to get opinions about hosted payment pages vs integrated through the API. [/2]
[2][/2]
[2]Obviously there are pros & cons for each, but given the increasing concerns with CC fraud (from the shoppers perspective), PCI compliance issues for merchants, constant updates etc, perhaps the wheel has turned and current hosted page offerings are a better proposition. Providers I'm looking at are now offering broader services such as virtual POS terminals, multi currency facilities, recurring (subscription payments) via certified secure storage of CC details etc. Most now allow a degree of "branding" for look & feel to match your site.[/2]
[2][/2]
[2]Question 1: Do shoppers feel safer when they see a "big brand" hosted payment page or do they prefer the tight integration approach where they never leave the merchant's site?[/2]
[2]Question 2: Does anyone have experience with using hosted pages with BV 5 (5.5)...I'm unclear how this would be setup...can it be done via the plugin architecture?[/2]
