Just wondering if there is a due date set yet for the release of v5.7?

Do we have any type of roadmap or timeline in which direction BVC5+ is headed? I am still running SP3. After every release from SP3, all I hear is bugs galore. I really want to upgrade my store, but at the same time i have no idea where BV is headed... and for me SP3 is by far the only stable release.

i don't think that came out the right way LOL.

I guess this should be more or less directed under the maintenance plan. I just want to know after 5.7 comes out, what are we looking at...? What can we look forward to after a "service pack" upgrade so i can budget my feature upgrades :)

If I recall after 5.7 will come 6.0 unless some issue with 5.7 release.
I think Marcus posted a message about this a short time ago but I cannot find it now.

Wallace's link to the roadmap is a good start. A few more details in my last blog post:

Will BV6 come out BEFORE the maintenance plan renewal?

I don't know. I would like for it to be available before maintenance plan renewals but it needs to be very solid before I release BV 6. Everything has been ported to C# and testing is going well but not all features are integrated yet. It's just too early to tell the exact release date for BV 6 yet.

I know the wording just says that "maintenance plan subscribers will get a free update to V6" -- but it was -- at least to me -- implied -- understood (at least by the timeline given) that this was one of the benefits of purchasing the plan last year. To be completely honest, besides the PayPal changes back in September and the PCI issue, there has been very little else improved in BV5 for the cost of the plan.

I've been delaying 5.7 since November because of PCI certification issues. I'm about ready to release 5.7 and then a separate PCI update because it has taken so long and I know there are people waiting on the 5.7 updates.

What is the current release date status of the version containing the PCI updates? We outsource our development, and I need to get the upgrade (we are on 5.3) on everyone's schedule as soon as possible in order to meet the July 1 compliance date.

Didn't you read the post from December 09? The latest update:
"BV Commerce 5.7 is currently finishing PCI compliance testing. I had hoped it would be ready before the end of the year but it will most likely be January before everything is officially certified."

:)
