Hi - We are upgrading our hosted servers and we still have one client running v.5 SP3.2. Is it possible for this site to run on IIS7? I've tried using the web.iis7.config file from another client as a template, swapped out connection strings, but cannot get it to connect. The error I get is "object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Yes, 5.3.2 will run on IIS7. How is your application pool setup? Try Classic mode. |

Hi Kim -
Thanks for the response. Yeah, we already changed the app pool to run in Classic mode (which it seemed all of the BV sites needed). I'll pick over the web.config to make sure I'm not missing anything. Are there any other changes / modifications that need to be setup in order for this to work that you know of?

Well I got it working. I reset my SQL user account's password just to be sure, copied over the IIS7.config contents and ensured the connection string was correct. As soon as I did that, bingo, I'm in.
