On an older BV5.3.2 Site for Buy One Get One you could list multiple products for "Products which have to be purchased" and if one was added to the cart the free item would be added as well.

Updated this site to version 5.4.5 to match the same versions as some other sites and now the behavior has changed so that you either can only have one item in "Products which have to be purchased" or if you have more than one only the first one you entered works.

Has anyone seen this before?
Any heads-up on where I should look to correct the issue?
Basically we want it so if any item in the "Products which have to be purchased" is purchased the associated free item is added.
Also if two items in the "Products which have to be purchased" were added to the cart two free items would be there as well.

Right now the only thing I can figure to do is have a "Buy One Get One" for each individual item.

Thanks Much for any input you have seen before with Buy One - Get One.

Further Post ...

For "Buy One - Get One" if you have multiple items in the ""Products which have to be purchased" then all of those items must be added to the cart before you actually get the free item.

Thinking about it, that makes sense.

The way it was before though as you choose any of the items in the "Products which have to be purchased" you would get a free item for each one as it was added to the cart.

I am not sure if this was a modification a past developer made or an issue with 5.3.2

At any rate the way it works now seems correct to me although not what the client wants :)

Ok, solved ... With the other mods previously done it actually had broken a few other things and is in fact broken the way it worked. So back to the way it is supposed to be in the first place. Nicer really as package deals are now easy.
