I am having a heck of a time creating a custom page in BV 5.7.

Here is what I did:

Create the custom page.
Enter title, content, meta, custom URL, etc..
Select "Show in Bottom Menu"

When I try to go to the page, it it totally BLANK.

If I remove the "Custom URL" and hit save, it re-appears when I go back in to edit the product.

Is this a bug?

Is there a way around this?

If I understand you correctly, it is not a bug (or I am misunderstanding the problem.) The custom URL is required desireable, as it is a custom page without a pre-determined title. Don't leave the url blank. I'd make sure that 1) you input the url exactly as you would like it to appear reletive to the site root (input like this: /folder/file.aspx), 2) when visiting the link, make sure that you pay attention to the capatalization of the url, and 3) double check the link in /BVAdmin/Content/CustomUrl.aspx to make sure there is no conflict. hope this helps.


(Oh yeah, make sure you don't have any rewrite rules in .htacess that may conflict with the custom URL.)
