Is there a way to easily integrate order fulfillment into BVC5? I'm currently looking into creating a Workflow Task (using this page as a reference How to Create a BVC5 Order Workflow Task ) to do this, but am curious to know if there is a better way. My apologies if this post is in the wrong place. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Mike,
Can you be a little more specific about what you mean by "integrate order fulfillment"? Workflow Tasks are certainly a great way to integrate custom business processes into BV. |

Aaron,
first, let me say thank you for your help. Currently, every time an order is made on our site someone needs to log into Webgystix (an order fulfillment company) and create a new order there. I would like to automatically update Webgystix every time an order is completed on my site (payment and all). I would also like to update the order (on my site) with the pertinent information from Webgystix (tracking number etc). Hopefully this clears things up.
After creating my own custom task I came across an existing one named "Run All Dropship Notifications". Perhaps this would be a better place for the code to live. Thoughts?

Thanks for the explanation, Mike. What you're trying to do makes sense.
No, I would not modify that workflow; I believe it is for sending email notifications to drop shippers. You would do better to create a new workflow. |
