Far as I can tell this is far from a clean install process on Server 2008. In fact it's way more confusing than it has to be at this stage.


I'd like to see the installer split out for those using the older version of Server/SQL, and those using the newer versions particularly going forward. I would have figured at this point with Server 2008 being out for some time that it would be a simple install process, it isn't yet.



IE, have the installer set so that it installs a true working site on Server 2008, correct permissions etc. That way we can all use it as a guide.
