IE10 problems - admin tabs don't work and more

We ran into a problem today with a merchant site where many things were not working properly in IE10. Even the admin tabs didn't work! After a little troubleshooting we traced it back to outdated browser definition files on the server. The resolution required the host to install a hotfix on the server. Below is a blog post providing more details and links to the hotfix. Bumped into this problem again today and learned something new: be sure to install BOTH the x86 and x64 versions of the hotfixes so no matter how your app pools are configured (i.e. 32 or 64-bit) you will get the updated definition files. Also, you will need to reboot the server for the changes to take affect. |
