I am attempting to create new categories in bulk via text file. I exported current categories and maintained the header row. Content was then updated and imported and received the following error.
Row 2: Incorrect number of columns - skipping.
I am only attempting to create the categories and not assign products to them. Can new categories only be created inside the site?

Yes, you can create new categories with an import. Category imports must have these fields: - bvin (leave blank for new categories)
- ParentID
- Name
The rest of the fields are optional. The error that you received means that row 2 of your import file did not have the same number of columns as your header row. |
