Is there a feature that allows a customer to add optional insurance when on the checkout/payment page? Something that would calculate the amount of insurance based on the order subtotal (before shipping)?

There's not a specific feature for this, but you could always duplicate the shipping method, give it another name (e.g. "Insured Ground"), and then set the rate adjustment to a percentage. |
