Hello,



I have a situation where an order that has been credit card authorized is in "shopping cart" status and it does not have an order number. I would like (if possible) to convert it to an order and make all of the usual things happen when an order is placed (emails, inventory, etc), minus of the payment because that has already been done.



I am not completely sure how this happened in the first place, I am guessing the store admin tried to use the shopping cart report to convert a cart to an order. I am also guessing that this is not typically a function of the BV Admin.



I should also ask - since the payment has already been authorized, would it be better to do the conversion to order, or would it be better to try to cancel everything and create a new order?

You can not switch a cart to an order via the admin. The customer must complete the order or you need to place a new one on their behalf in the admin side.
