Hi, I personally have never used Frontpage with Master Pages. I hesitate to give an opinion on whether or not it would be a suitable development environment. However, I am certain that if this is the tool you want to use, if you arm yourself with the correct information, it will work for you. I have attached a link about working with Master Pages and also a link to Microsoft Sharepoint designer with has native support for Master Pages. I hope these will help. http://www.devsource.com...e2/0,1895,1824221,00.asphttp://office.microsoft....gner/FX100487631033.aspxYou can also download a free version of Microsoft Visual Studio Express here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/You do not have to create a new theme, but I would suggest copying an existing theme and renaming it. Thanks, Everett |

I would highly recommend the free Visual Web Developer over Frontpage any day, jvmaloley. It was designed to be used with .Net 2.0 and will be of much more help when building themes. |

I've used FP only to publish BV, as a separate web folder, along with the rest of the site. I don't recommend using it for editing. Even Microsoft has almost dropped FP as they have a new product to replace it. Eventually, all my sites, are going to be migrated to VS. Whenever I find the time... |
