We are looking to upgrade from BV2004 to BV5 but we are have Gift Card processing functionality that I do not think is supported by BV5. In particular, we would like to send out pre-numbered Gift Cards just like those issued by Starbucks, Sharper Image etc. The cards are ordered with with gift card numbers printed or embossed. The process should be: 1) create gift card with specific dollar amount from admin using card pre-printed card numbers. 2) Mail to client 3) client or any person to whom the card is given, buys in our store and enter the number just like Gift Certificate.
My experience with BV4 is that the number is randomized which we will not work for the pre-printed card. I know for fact that competing shopping cart supports this functionalilty
Any thoughts, plug-in for sale, Custom work ...
Please advise...
