Hello,

Got a scenario we are really interested in. We have personalized products that have require SETUP charges and optional PROOFS. I want to use the Shared Choice feature. The issue is, it multiplies itself by the quanitiy. What we would like to do is add a CHECK BOX to the Shared Choice Edit Item screen that says, FLAT PRICE, meaning it is only added ONCE to the total for that product. This is the easiest way for us to accomplish this in the NEW BV. We are able to do thius using BV2004. Let me know your alls thoughts.

Thanks,

TJ Havens

I've been thinking about this one all day. I've been down this road myself about a year ago without getting anywhere. I don't think you can do it exactly....

You could try writing a custom order discount that applies a 100% discount to all but the first. For example, if the proof is $10, and the customer orders 10, it would apply a $90 discount.

I wrote an article quite some time ago that shows how to write a generic offer,

Andy, because offers (ootb) show up as discounts only in the cart, seeing the + $90.00 product cost can scare the bugeebers out of a shopper on the product page. I'd be afraid to click 'add to cart'.

Not a critical thing, but.... I'd sure like my offers to show up in the price area on the product page as modifiers are being chosen. Unfortunately, most of my products are modifier dependant so SALES, which do show on the product page, are useless. The sale doesn't apply correctly to modifiers (IIRC, it's been a while).

If BVC is up to their pits and there are no 3rd party programmers ready or able to do it, it won't be coming until BVC6.... perhaps.
