Any word on exporting product variations?

My need is different then most. I need to send this info to my third party marketing company to track sales. They need the unique SKU numbers to match what they pull from my receipt.aspx page. I figured the export tool would work but after running it and reading through the forums it is not yet available. If anyone has an idea on how we could do this I would greatly appreciate it.

Just read the post from Scott about having a "Dealer Price" column and I am giving that idea a "bump."

1. It would be great to have a field for this.
2. I am also wondering how to make a new field that I add get exported and imported with the Import Tool.

Any ideas?

Marcus & Crew,
A lot of us end users would be very happy and appreciative if you could put out an update to add a few more features to the import/export tool. Those of us who came over from a competitor cart reallly liked their inventory and category import/export.

If we could get category & inventory support, this tool would be much better. (i.e. be able to assign category, inventory status, and inventory level on import of products)

Marcus,

I have a problem when using the Import / Export tool (version 1.2). Export of products will not work properly.

In the attached a screen dump of the error that the tool generates.

What is going wrong here? and there is a solution for this problem?

Any idea when this tool will be updated to work with SP 5.4 Rev 5? or even 5.5 when that version is out?

Logging Into Web Store
Export Error: Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined. - at BvcImportTool.WebServiceUtilities.Login(AuthenticationToken& t)
at BvcImportTool.Core.Modules.CategoryTranslator.Export()
at BvcImportTool.MainForm.btnExport_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) Login

Any Ideas?

Any idea on why the Export button is missing?



This PC (laptop) has been working perfectly with BVC 4.

We are attempting to update to BVC5.



We installed the .net 3.5 and service pack.





We have also tried connecting on 2 different desktop PC's.

While we have the export button, we are getting error messages trying to export.

Put http:// in front of the IP address when using the import/export tool.

Any idea why the selection window (Categories, products users) is missing the "export" button?

Yes, I suspect that you have large fonts turned on in Windows. The window layout is probably pushing the button off screen. The import/export tool isn't 100% compatible with large fonts mode in Windows.

Marcus,

I really need your import/export tool to work. I have not posted before, but read the forums and have been patietly waiting for a solution.

The 5.5 tool you posted does not work on any of my computers. They all have the latest .net framework.

It logs into the store and then says "getting the list of products" then after a few minutes get an error. I have attached an image of the error

I downloaded the one listed just a few posts up as the most recent. It is version 5.5.0.0. Is this the one you are using?

Marcus,

I have downloaded the new version of the import/export tool to try if the problem was solved.

Unfortunately, the problem is still the same, but now I don't get any detailed log to check what maybe went wrong. It stops and gives the message "Finished with errors".

We really need this tool to edit our products, about 8000 of them.

BTW: It works perfectly with "Users &amp; Category export" !

Can someone tell me what to do?
