Made it. There are some nice fixes coming up. Great to see the search option being addressed.

Justin, how do you utilize the grid feature? I wasn't around when 2004 was out, can you quickly run through the steps to set up a grid choice?

@MitchA - yes that appears to be it. I will verify.

@C - You just setup product choices like you normally would, then you go to the product and set its product template to the Choice Grid. It should display all of your options in a grid instead of in the normal view.

Justin, so it only allows for two choices? What happens if you have three of four choices? Just wondering out loud.

Justin,

You create a product type with type properties assigned that type.

You set a sku to the product type.

You add another type property with a default value to the product type.

The new type property(with default value)-won't be displayed until you open and save each sku that has the product type asigned to it.

Under BVC2004 it worked as its supposed to work.

I hope this is explained clear enough. I know Everett has a ticket that was opened with this problem

@C it should work for any number of choices that you have. It displays the combination of all choices, one in each row.

Justin,
Another thing that I had a ticket opened and didn't see addressed was under the product batch edit. If you tried a Url_rewrite update using the batch edit it would make the change to bvc_product but not the bvc_customurl table. You would get an error if you tried to bring up the product with the changed urls's.

Thanks Justin, yes I also made it to 777

A few questions:
#889 "User category sorting need to be added back in like BV 2004"
Will this allow users to dynamically sort categories?

I couldn't tell, it looked like it could've been in a few places possibly (926, 1111), but does anything handle the scenario for product choices not being available if out of stock - for example, if I have t-shirts size S, M, L and the M is out of stock (and I have defined inventory when out of stock remove from store) will it be removed from the drop down list (currently it stays but add to cart button is disabled for that size)?

Thanks!

Justin, if I go into a test product on the localhost, select a product CHOICE of drop down list (not modifier), Size: S M L, a second ddl choice of color, red blue green, I get a time out error each time. Not sure if others can verify.

Rich if I understand correctly, what you are saying is:

Product A has assigned to it Type A which has two properties, Material, Weight. A few weeks later you change Type A to add a third property, Texture which has a default type of suede.

Product A is NOT updated automatically to reflect the new type property added to Type A, you have to manually go in and make the change and save.

I don't see a reference to the problem of checkout not requiring a telephone number -- even though it is checked under Options.

Marcus,

B44 is a potential deal breaker for me...unless this is made to work and continue to be supported I can't deploy our various BVC 5 store licenses and will have to reconsider our platform choice. Most other issues, I can and am willing to workaround even if we need to change our processes to align with the store but this is not one of them.....please email me directly to discuss.

Regards

John

@Rich: thanks, we will look at this
@Blue Acorn: yes, customers can sort categories now. Just go to the category and check that box that says something like "allow customer sort order"
@C: we have not experienced this issue, we will check this
@birdsafe: it is possible that the change could have snuck in under another bug. I will check it out on Monday
@JP3: I'm not sure what B44 is, could you clarify? If Marcus knows what you are referring to, then I can also clarify with him on Monday.

Found bug when you hit the "Go" button on the search.aspx page without entering anything in any field. You get a divide by zero error.

Can we have more details for the fixes, like what steps recreate the issue? Identifying which of these issues are the hotfixes would also be helpful.

Sorry, didn't mean to be obscure.

B44 is the cell reference for "WorldPay not working" ID=1094

Thanks
