Either I am getting smarter or BVSoftware is making it easier for the little guy to make changes. A big discussion in 2004 was the sort by problems people had. Sort was defaulted to None, and the user could change to Name or Price but their was no way to tell the defualt to be Price or Name. Well I figured after reading the post here: http://www.bvsoftware.com/Forums/default.aspx?f=24&m=37779 that the same thing should hold true in BV5. I want to my SQL Server and changed bvc_Product_ByCategory_s --- ORDER BY SitePrice Click Refresh in my webbrowser and Viola, it was sorted by Price. To the Gurus out there, is this the solution? Or was their a easier way and I am patting myself on the back to quickly? :) Chris |
Thanks,

That's basically it until you want the user to have the choices as well. In that case you would also want to address the drop down list so that it defaults to the same. |
