I just ran into this error while trying to save a product. I've entered a SKU and Name, tried a Generic Product Type and a custom Product Type. I'm getting the error in both.

p.s. For some reason I have not been able to use the search function in the BV forums. Is anyone else experiencing this???

Are you seeing any errors in the event log?

Are you referring to the event logs on the server? I'm on shared hosting with Intermedia.NET and don't have access to them.

He's referring to the event log under Options > Event Log.

I'm seeing several problems in the event logs, but nothing in the past four hours. Earlier this morning i was getting several of each of these:

547 0 The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_bvc_ProductPropertyValue_bvc_Product". The conflict occurred in database "JUTV", table "dbo.bvc_Product", column 'bvin'.

There is an error in XML document (0, 0).[ at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(XmlReader xmlReader, String encodingStyle, XmlDeserializationEvents events) at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(XmlReader xmlReader, String encodingStyle) at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(TextReader textReader) at BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core.Utilities.SortableCollection`1.FromXml(String data) ]

Very strange. I logged out, closed my brower, cleared cache, etc. When I logged back in and checked the event logs that spawned the first error above. When I went to try adding the product again it was already there.

This should probably go under bug report?
