We had hoped SP1 would be ready today but there were a couple of last minute issues to address. Everything is completed now but we need tomorrow to test the installation and setup with 5.0, 5.01 and hotfixes. Everything is looking good for SP1 to be published on Thursday.

For my money, you can wait another month or two... I would just as soon wait for a product that I dont have to patch. My 30 days of support is gone anyway.

Not sure yet if my current issue are related to BV Commerce 5 yet but all signs are starting to point that way.

Nick per our conversation yesterday, I have performed the updates but still getting shut down due to what appaers to be SQL attacks.

You are getting shutdowns due to sql attacks? Do you have any more details as to what is happening and how it is related to our software?

DBS,

In another thread you mentioned you've got .net 1.1 and .net 2.0 web sites on the same server. Is this correct? Could your problem be related to both web sites running in the same app pool?

Good question Marcus, right now I am so confused. Is there any issuses with w3wp.exe and the BV Commerce 5 that would stop the WinHttp service?

I am running .Net 2.0.50727 only on this server and it has been running great for over a year and the only change beside MS patches has been BV 5.

We have BV2004 and BVC5 sites running side by side on several servers and haven't had any restarting issues.

Check your event log and see if there is a notification about why the web service shut down.

Is today still the day for a [4]production release[/4] that solves all the issues like unenforced minimum quantities?

I ordered a new computer due to arrive this afternoon, just in time to dedicate it to building my development version! Hope to launch before Christmas. We are having full page, full-color ads hitting big magazines in January.
