Guys,
How can I use the Gift Vouchers?

It seems that I need to combine them with a different form of payment and that they only get applied after the user has entered their Credit Card information.

There seems to be no way to do a payment with a Gift Voucher only.

Also the total is not updated when the user enters a Gift Vouchers.

It would be nice for the total to be updated when the Gift Voucher is entered automatically.

Help/Ideas ?

Corneliu.

You should be able to use a gift voucher as payment if the gift voucher value is equal to the order total + shipping, tax, etc... The checkout function should be allowing this.

I too am having this problem. When I use a Gift Certificate it does not update the order total and still insists on needing a credit card. I tried this using a 500$ gift certificate on an order that only totals 10.37$. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

why would the value of the gift voucher matter? are you saying you cannot pay for the order with more than one type of tender?

No, you can pay with more than one type. What I am trying to say is that if the value of the gift card exceeds the amount of the order then you were supposed to be able to checkout without using any other form of payment. It looks like for some reason this isn't happening.

Corneliu,

On line 183 in BVModules\Checkouts\One Page Checkout\Checkout.aspx.vb please change "If (Not Payment.IsValid) Then" to "If (Not Payment.IsValid) AndAlso (Not paymentFound) Then" and please let me know if this fixes your problem.

Thanks.

Justin,
You change does allow customers to place the order which is good.
However I would like to have the total price updated to reflect how much they still have to pay and also to have a "No Payment Required" if the GC covers for the value of the order.

Thanks,
Corneliu.
