Hello Everyone,

I'm posting this again because I want to get a handle on our payment gaetway needs. BV is trying to include as many gateways as possible at no charge to the user in BVC5. However, as some of you might know there is a HUGE list of gateways. Some are mainstream and popular, others hardly known, and others just a rebrand or license of a more popular gateway.

It would be very helpful if we could get a list of gateways people are using, if the gateway is already supported in BVC5 and if you have used it successfuly with BVC5. To ease the amount of work in supporting a large number of gateways we are using a 3rd party component for many of the gateways - this has been great for some gateways and trouble for others, mainly because the support and/or documentation of the 3rd party component is incomplete. Thus some of the gateways will need to be re-written by hand to have more control over their integration with BVC5 and others will need additional beta testing.

If possibles please reply to this post and list the gateways you feel need to be added, ones you have used with BVC5 successfuly, ones that you have used but don't work, and ones that you are able to help test.

This will insure that we have a well working list of payment gateways.

Thank You.
TIM

Tim,

http://www.eway.com.au
and
http://www.camtech.com.au

I just realized eway does not support Authorize at Checkout, Capture Funds Later and they also don't support refunds via the API. You have to do refunds manually via their administrative interface.
Camtech supports both of these so I might choose Camtech and start my own integration. I just got a test account with them and the API specs.

Have a nice weekend :)

Tim,
I'm almost finished with www.camtech.com.au implementation and testing. I'm still working on getting the errors nicely back the the user and testing the Refunds.
If anyone want's to connect BVC with camtech.com.au please contact me for the gateway :)

Regards,
Corneliu.

Is the eLink processor for Transfirst included yet? I was told this was going to be incorporated in SP2, but don't have the store live to check it out yet...

If not, we rely exclusively on Transfirst for our payment gateway and definitely would like to see it included.

Thanks,
Ryan

We are using Linkpoint. We have a couple issues I have addressed before and I think you have responded to the first one.

BV5 order numbers don't display in the order number section on linkpoint for ease in reconciliation. I just look up the customers name right now.

There is a delay after clicking place order and the "You are leaving a secure area" msg pops up which freaks out some of our customers. We are getting double clicks on place order. I believe this is being addressed in SP2.

Other then that it works pretty well.

Bob the delay and leaving secure area are not related to the payment processor portion but if SP2 is addressing them that is good.

Currently using Authorize.NET.

Used in the past: Viaclix and Concord EFS. We've been known to shop around for better banks or features on the processor, so I like the flexibility.

I used to use SecurePay.com.

Switched to Authorize.net when I moved to BVC5.

We just got SP2 loaded up and I don't see the Transfirst eLink processor included yet...

Do you guys have an update on the ETA of this processor?

I know you are swamped, but, in order to launch BV5 with the release of our product infomercial; I need to know if I am going to have to switch gateway providers in order to a functioning payment system.

Thanks

Tim,

It might be good to contact Cardinal Commerce and request their partially built plug-in...

They created a decent Credit Card payment gateway and have already started development on BillMeLater and Secure E-Bill plug-ins for BVC5. They are OK plug-ins but there is still a lot of manual labor that is required to make these work and work properly with the new BVC5 workflows. This would be great if you could take what they have and refine it to work perfect and with the BVC5 workflows.

Is there already a BML or Secure E-Bill plug-in out there for BVC5 that works with the workflow process?

Hi there,

For all my clients the payment gateway of choice is PROTX. I am a UK developer and PROTX is essential.

On a previous BVC2004 store Anthony Lincoln got the none-functioning PROTX module working for me. I had high hopes for the PROTX gateway in BVC5 but have had no luck so far in making it work. I've not heard anything back from BVTools and some documentation would really help. I'm working on 2 stores ATM that require a working PROTX gateway.

BVC5 is simply stunning in what it's capable of. Propper support for a big UK gateway like PROTX could surely help it to get widespread uptake in the UK.

I'll be raising a ticket regarding the PROTX module but I thought I'd contribute here too.

Protx changed their gateway functionality, we thought we had a dead payment gateway but we've worked around it for now.

We've changed the Protx live URL in the BV config screen.
Now we don't have auth and deferred facility. We have to take the full amount and transactions pass ok. Refunds fail in bv.

As a work around we are set to take the full amount at check out. If this fails it will be the customers details not bv. Assuming we have a valid payment, we can use the protx admin to void or refund and update bv order status manually. Whilst not ideal because it creates lots of extra work, at least we are not dead.

Now I guess, all we need it the BV Protx gateway to support the recent changes.

How and when will that happen?

Thanks
Anthony
