I am researching BV Commerce 5 as a potential replacement for another solution we have used in house. There are several core requirements any new implementation would require. I can't tell from the feature list if these are current, developmental or planned features in BV Commerce 5. I am hoping to get an official answer.
Googlebase: Developmental or planned in a future release? I see owners commenting that Froogle support was abandoned. This was in BV Commerce 2004 I hope?
Google Checkout: What level and is it implemented in a working environment?
Zoom Image: Are users able to zoom/enlarge product images at will? Is this an existing feature or available?
Is there an active developer community? Are there plugins for BV Commerce 5 and are themes publicly available for sale as the demo only shows a few unprofessional looking templates. I assume there are more in the full package over the demo?
Is there a feature list of current BV Commerce 5 sites? I see very few examples of operational V 5 sites and would like to see more real world examples.

Paulie, There was a 3rd party Froogle Feed for BVC 2004 but the developer has currently put updates on hold. However, we have a FREE Froogle/Google Base feed for BV Commerce 5 and will be updating it as required to meet Google's requirements. Support for Froogle was never abandoned by BV Software. Google Checkout will be included for FREE in BV Commerce 5 Service Pack 2 due out in about 2 weeks. It is a full and complete integration on all levels with Google Checkout. Zoom Image is available as a 3rd party add-on from www.avecomgroup.com for BV Commerce. Contact our sales department for a sample list of clients. There are quite a few on BV Commerce 5.

Marcus is the BV Commerce 5 Googlebase tool fully compliant with the new changes instituted on 2/28/07 so that we don't lose our ranking?
At Avecompgroup I only see BV Commerce 2004 addons with nothing new for BV Commerce 5? Is anyone else selling an updated addon set for BV Commerce 5? Are there any packaged themes for BV Commerce 5 that improve on the simplistic stock themes?

The Googlebase feed currently available for free with BV Commerce 5 does not have the new fields. However, it does currently work with Googlebase as there is a grace period until the new fields are actually required. We will update the feed tool before the grace period runs out with the new fields.
Talk to Avecomgroup about SmartView for BV Commerce 5. It's coming soon if it's not already on their site.
