We have a couple Favicons 32x32 in gif format. We are running BV5 on Noah's server.

How do I put one on our site? I understand I may have to put some code on the home page and if so, what code and where do I put it?

I'm guessing that dotnet 2.0 code is required and I don't know what module to put it in.

Favicon is not tied to .NET (or even IIS). See Guidelines on this page,

Yeh. I read that Andy. But I don't know where to put the code.

I cant find where the Meta Data is called from, mostly because I'm not a real programmer. The only thing I can think to do is create xml file with nothing in the body and put it in the Store Wide Settings folder or the www folder. Something tells me that may not be the preferred method.

Bob,

Most browsers will automatically pick up the icon if you name it favicon.ico and put it in the root of the site. I've seen on older IE browsers that it requires the user to add the site to their favorites before it loads the icon.

I agree, I just drop the favicon.ico in the root of my site and it automatically shows up. If you already have it bookmarked, you may need to delete and bookmark it again for it to show up as the icon in your favorites.

You may need to clear your browser's cache to see it, depending on the browser, Bob.
