So the new order notification goes to the customer automatically without me being able to add the discount. |

The new order notification goes to the customer as soon as an order is placed, this is the way that it has always worked. Or are you talking about entering a new order on the admin side? |

I'm talking when create a new order from the Admin side. I can select the products, the shipping and the payments but I can't enter a discount. I have to first place the order then go back and edit it to enter an admin discount. |

Yes, sorry, when you create an admin side order there is currently no way to enter an admin discount before you place the order. We will look into this to see if it can be upgraded. |
