For some reason our Orders since SP2 are all "In Process" even if paid and ready for shipping.


That means that for each order, we've had to individually go into each order and switch the status to "Ready for Shipping". Total of 4 clicks per order and alot of time taken up to do before we can ship.

I think you can modify one of the workflows to automatically do that for you. Try to modify the Payment Complete workflow and add two new steps. One to change the status to "Ready for Shipping" and one to Update Order.
I don't think this functionality is in there by default. At least I've never see it done automatically before.

Is your Payment Complete workflow even running? You can check this by adding an "Email Order" workflow task and see if it gets sent to you. Also, when the payment is complete but the order doesn't get marked to paid status, are you seeing any errors at that point?

I tried both of your ideas. Corneliu, Update Order was already in the Payment Complete workflow, but change status to "Ready for Shipping" was not.

Justin, I tried your suggestion and it didn't get any emails to me, so I don't think it's running. I also didn't get any errors. The payments are going through successfully.

Also, not sure if it's related, but my Shipper isn't grabbing any orders since this has happened either.

They are not related. Shipper ignores the status in that field. I just wanted to point this out so that Justin, et al do not follow a red herring.

Angela,
Add the step I've told you about *before* the UpdateOrder one. The UpdateOrder will only save the order to the DB, so you need to change it's status before that. It should do the trick.

How do I add the step "Change the status to "Ready for Shipping" if I don't see it in the Payment Complete dropdown list? Is there a way to get it in the list so I can select it?

Good point :)

Here is a custom tasks that will do that for you:
1. Save the ChangeOrderStatus.vb into the App_Code folder.

2. Create the folder \BVModules\OrderTasks\Change Order Status\

3. Save the two edit files into this new folder.

4. Modify the LoadCustomOrderTasks in the TaskLoader.Custom.vb and add:

result.Add(New ACorns.BV.ChangeOrderStatus())

5. Go to your Payment Complete workflow and add the "Change Order Status" task

6. Click on edit and configure it to set the status to whatever status you want.

7. Add an "Update Order" task after the "Change Order Status" one.

Just took a few minutes to do, and I was about to place a test order to test it, and a customer did it for me already in that split-second. :)
