Error one checkout page (One Page Checkout)

After installing SP2 we now seem to have an error on the (One page) checkout page when changing the selection on the country dropdown list for both the shipping address and the billing address. It cannot find ShippingStateListRequiredFieldValidator causing a javascript error (see attachment). ctl00_MainContentHolder_ShippingStateListRequiredFieldValidator is null or not an object. We aren't seeing anything here, are you getting any errors in the event log? Also, what country are you changing from and to. |

There are no errors about this in the event log.
Go to checkout without logging in. In the shipping (and billing) address, the problem occurs when changing the country between US and any other country. It does not happen changing between other countries.
I forgot to mention earlier that a similar thing happens when logged in and changing an address in the address book - when changing between US and other countries.
