Product Batch Edit to change Shipping Weight - not changing

With SP2, the Shipping Weight does not change when we use Product Batch Edit to change the Shipping Weight of several products. We are filtering on Manufacturer; no other filters are being applied & no other changes are being attempted. We are trying to change the Shipping Weight from 1.0 to 0.5.
Are we missing something?

In the FloatModifierField.ascx.vb which is in BVAdmin/Controls it is trying to parse the value for the field out of the wrong place. You can replace your file with the attached version.
