probably a NOOB question - but I can't get this to work.


When configuring the payment gateway in BV5, the Authorize.Net payment gateway screen asks for a Merchant Transaction Key. I assume that this means the password for the account - which is what I entered.



However, when testing a charge, I continually get a "This account has not been given the permission(s) required for this request." error. I've tried turning off "test mode" from the BV payment options screen, also tried turning on and off the Authorize.net "test mode" function.



The frustrating thing is I can't tell if its a BV issue or an Authorize.Net issue.



Any ideas from anyone?

Hello Jim.

You can obtain the transaction key by logging into your Authorize.Net account. You can find the key under Settings and Profile > Security > Obtain Transaction Key.
