Can't upgrade to SP2 from SP1 on my localhost

I had a similar problem. I didn't have time to get into the details to correct the issue and I chose the easy way. I downloaded the full SP2 version and I created a completely new SP2 store with a different name on my local server. So now I have SP1 and SP2 versions. Both of them are working properly. I got away from work :-) I don't know if this is the right thing to do though.

I had a similar issue, but was trying to update a remote site. Everett was helping me and pointed out that you need to have a "versionSP1.config" file in the /BVadmin/versioning folder -- that is what the installer is looking for. If you don't see that file, that is what you are missing. |

Michael,
Check to be sure you have already installed SP1. There was a patch prior to SP1 that brought the version to 5.01, but this is not the same as SP1.
I believe there's another post about this somewhere - very similar to yours - but I can't find it right now.
