Hi everyone,
We're getting closer and closer to our BV5 release date, but still have a couple of little snags to get past...
In particular, we are looking for a workaround to the "package" step in the shipping. Our BV4 store transmits order details to our fulfillment house via XML through an HTTP post and we would like to have the same functionality in our BV5 store.
We are hitting a snag in BV5 however, where we need to add the additional step of packaging in order to tie the shipping method to the order to send the completed order to fulfillment.
Is there a way to automate the packaging within the workflow and eliminate this extra step?

Hello Ryan,
My Shipping Rate Provider Suite attaches a complete set of packages to the order. You can retrieve them using order.FindSuggestedPackages. The package description includes details about the package appropriate for a shipping department. For example, if the order is split into boxes to calculate the shipping cost, then one package is created for each box and the box size is recorded in the description. |
