Add to Cart button for specific product within a custom page

Is there a straightforward method to insert the "Add to Cart" button for a specific product within a custom page.
We would like to put a specific special available only by navigating to a specific URL which would not appear in the live site. As we would like to avoid having the normal navigation panel show up and the layout of the normal product page, a custom page seems the easiest method.
Is there a way to do this?
NOTE: I have this same question for BV4 up on that board but I am hoping to run the special in BV5 if we're up in time.
Thanks |

You could just add an image button that uses the "add to cart" image. Add it to the custom page using HTML and use the “quick add” features to add items to the cart. You can add items to your cart from an external link by using the following parameters: “quickaddid” & “quickaddqty” The “QuickAddId” is the products “bvin” number. “QuickAddQty” allows you to specify what quantity you want to be added. If you leave this off, it will default to a quantity of 1. Example: http://www.YOURSTORE.com...CTBVIN&quickaddqty=1You can also use "QuickAddSKU”. http://www.YOURSTORE.com...ctsSku&quickaddqty=3 |

Doesn't seem to work in BV4 using the QuickAddSku call (and there is no bvin in BVC2004 that I can see)... The following code brings you to the shopping cart, but no products are added - http://www.slimdelices.c...E130QS&QuickAddQty=1Check it out here: http://www.slimdelices.com/custom.aspx?id=99I saw in an earlier post about QuickAddSku that this was an SP mod/inclusion - we are currently running a customized version of 2004.6, is this a question of an upgrade? Ryan, the code is different for BV Commerce 2004. If you have the Enterprise version of the software, and access to the Enterprise sections of the support forums, the following thread may help: http://forums.bvcommerce...21356&g=21372#m21372I know there was an update to the QuickAdd feature in the 2004.7 service pack. |
