Emailing Order Reminders? - Subscription-based site

I am selling on-line Job postings which expire 180 days from the purchase date. I'd like to come up with a system sending an automated email reminder to customers when the expiration date is two weeks away. Anyone have any ideas on a way to do this?

Are you on a shared or dedicated server? If on a dedicated server what I generally do is create a console application for such task and run it as a scheduled task. Some may run daily and others ever 30 minutes depending on the task. |

I don't know how active your site is, but you can also use the Global application file to trigger your procedure each time a session is created. We use this method to regularly export our shopping feed to froogle and BVC5 uses the same method to handle dynamic categories, etc. |
